Ludum Dare 50. Delay the inevitable
Upon being cursed by Hela, Skad feels fear for the first time:
They feels their lungs breathe. Realizing the value of life, their selfishness will make them do everything to keep breathing, and they won't stop raising their sword for a second, after all,
Demons don't breathe.
In this game, Skad is dying, their life is always dropping and the only way to keep breathing is by taking souls. For how long can you keep Skad breathing? You can't delay the inevitable.
My Contributions
In this project, I contributed as a game designer and lead artist. I also worked as a pixel artist, designing the protagonist and enemies.
One of the most interesting aspects of this project was the exploration of the concept that life itself is a curse, with the protagonist's fate already predetermined.
It was an enjoyable challenge to create a game where the player's objective was to delay the inevitable, and where failure became an integral part of the narrative, enhancing the overall game experience.
